CBS presented their Fall lineup at an "upfront" at Carnegie Hall in NYC, and Jim and the TBBT cast were there. There are photos of Jim at the usual places - Zimbio, Wireimage, and Getty Images. Kudos to anyone who can find a video of this.
Jim did a brief spot on stage in the guise of Sheldon, in all his plaid coat glory, acting as CBS's research expert. He delivered a largely incomprehensible, and mostly charming speech that shouted out Cartesian planes and differential calculus, while flattering advertisers. “I’m Dr. Sheldon Cooper. You may be asking yourself what is one the greatest mind of the twentieth century doing talking to a room of advertisers,” he riffed, before explaining that he had decided advertisers were important. When he can travel in time, he will go back to the 1969 NBC upfront to make sure they don’t help cancel the original Star Trek. He also remarked "In the words of Spock, Live long & prosper. Even though you short-sighted business people killed him off in 79 episodes."
A few speeches later, William Shatner came out to discuss his new sitcom. His turn ended when Sheldon ran out on stage and HUGGED Shatner. "I have so much to ask you," Sheldon said and both walked away.
My secret dream: William Shatner as guest star on season premiere of TBBT this Fall!
